CVE-2020-1608

A kernel crash (vmcore) leading to a device reboot may be triggered when a specific MPLS or IPv6 packet is received on the core-facing interface of an MX Series device that is set up for Broadband Edge (BBE) service. The problem occurs only when processing packets meant for BBE clients connected to MX Series subscriber management platforms. This issue impacts MX Series devices running Juniper Networks Junos OS versions 17.2 (starting from 17.2R2-S6, 17.2R3, and subsequent releases before 17.2R3-S3), 17.3 (starting from 17.3R2-S4, 17.3R3-S2, and later releases before 17.3R2-S5, 17.3R3-S5), 17.4 (starting from 17.4R2 and subsequent releases before 17.4R2-S7, 17.4R3), 18.1 (starting from 18.1R2-S3, 18.1R3, and later releases before 18.1R3-S6), 18.2 (starting from 18.2R1-S1, 18.2R2, and later releases before 18.2R3-S2), 18.2X75 (prior to 18.2X75-D51, 18.2X75-D60), 18.3 (prior to 18.3R3), 18.4 (prior to 18.4R2), 19.1 (prior to 19.1R1-S3, 19.1R2), and 19.2 (prior to 19.2R1-S2, 19.2R2). This issue does not affect Juniper Networks Junos OS versions preceding 17.2R2-S6.
